An Argentinean with potential this summer…

We all know about living legend Lionel Messi for Argentina. The great man will turn 39 years of age during the World Cup being held in USA, Mexico & Canada. However, the one I like as an ante-post Each Way outsider right now is Messi’s Argentina teammate, JULIAN ALVAREZ…

The 26-year-old has had another impressive season for Atletico Madrid. In 2024/25, he hit seven goals for Atletico in the Champions League, and 17 in the Spanish La Liga. In 2025/26, Alvarez starred again in Europe, with a 10-goal tally that put him in the Champions League top-scorer Each Way places (Top 4)…

At the last World Cup in 2022 – where he was part of Argentina’s trophy-winning squad in Qatar – Julian was also in the Each Way places, finishing in the Top 4 spots, with four goals.

⚽ Alvarez rounded off the season by scoring in 4 of his last 6 appearances for club & country. He missed the final few games with an ankle injury, but is reported fit for the World Cup as of the start of June
